Competent Rigger Training
-With Practical – $695 (2 Days)
-Theory only – $595 (1 Day)

The Competent Rigger Train-the-Trainer Course provides students with the teaching tools and methods to provide in-house Rigger and Signal Person training. Our course is offered in our indoor tower training facility, and allows students to learn in a controlled environment under close supervision and tutelage of our skilled instructors. Students successfully completing this course will be recognized as a Competent Rigger Trainer in accordance with ANSI A 10.48. Trainers will be able to conduct classes, which meet the individual needs of their organizations and customers. Written and practical examinations are administered as to ensure the principles presented in the course have been achieved. Documentation is available to satisfy organization’s due diligence and regulatory requirements.

Prerequisites: 5 years of rigging experience including rigging planning, use of a capstan hoist, synthetic rope, and hardware. Previous experience in adult skill-oriented training. Organizations and trainers must sign a training license agreement with Pacific Safety Solutions prior to enrollment in the course. Students must be employed by an organization This program is fast-paced and not intended for new riggers or signalers, or those without previous training and experience. This program expects that students understand basic equipment use of: hardware, slings, rope, anchorages, and have ability to solve basic mathematics and trigonometry.

Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, trainers will have the materials to teach specific rigging principles to their company’s employees. Materials distributed during this course include presentations, exams, outlines, work books, rigging plans, exercises, lesson plans, student manuals and documentation records. Trainers will be able to deliver training for Rigger and Signal Person using Pacific Safety Solutions student manuals and materials.
